Office Politics

I'm an employer and at my company office politics can create a lot of hinder and problems between my employees. Sometimes, they undermine about each other and, I need to take place between them before they kill each others. I need to make sure that my staff does not gossip or even withholding with each other. I often get sucked up in the middle of an argument between two of my employees, but I managed to solve all the office politics at my company. Do you think they can be consequences for an organization if people act in a self-serving manner?
